Do Password Generators Really Work?

If you are one of the many people who use the same password over and over again, sometimes with a slight variation, then you probably don’t like the idea of password generators. They make you use “real” passwords that can’t be guessed and that will actually have to be written down or stored by the user.

The truth is that there are lists of commonly used passwords circulating on the Internet, and these lists are used to hack into a variety of systems. With password generators working on your system, you won’t be under constant attack and no hacker or virus will be able to find a way in.

These tools work by enforcing very strict rules on what types of passwords can be used. They are usually a combination of numbers and letters, with some phonetic aspect thrown in just to make them more memorable. You can also configure them so that they won’t include easy-to-hack passwords, such as those that have repeating numbers of letters.

Having strong, quality passwords on your system is extremely important these days, and the small price of a password generator will be well worth it if it means keeping hackers out of your system.
