Caring for the Vizio Screen

April 14th, 2009     Filed Under General

I have decided to write this article in an attempt to help users of a Vizio TV set better understand how to properly care for the Vizio screen. Keep in mind that Vizio, like other TV manufacturers, offers cleaning products and complete cleaning kits that have been specifically designed to be completely safe for use in cleaning LCD TV and plasma TVs. Another item that is highly recommended is a micro fiber cleaning cloth. These help to trap dirt and debris without the use of any harmful or damaging chemicals.

It is incredibly important for you to only use products which have been specifically designed and created for cleaning plasma and LCD televisions. Some people have made the horrible mistake of using any old kitchen or general use cleaner like Windex to clean their television screens. This is potentially the worst thing you can do, because about fifteen to twenty minutes after you spray the screen with these chemicals, you will notice a fog or haze appear on the screen. This is a negative chemical reaction that is common when you use a product that has not been designed specifically for this purpose. If this has happened to you then the best thing you can do is contact a repair service or store and see what they can do to fix it. Never do this when caring for the Vizio screen.

After reading this short article, I hope that you have learned what to do when caring for the Vizio screen, and more importantly, what not to do when cleaning a plasma or LCD screen. The best thing you can have handy is a micro fiber cloth, which will help you clean your new television without having to use any harmful chemicals.
